Football teams do not stumble onto the field on Sunday and hope for the best.  They prepare – all week.  40 hours at least.

Win or lose on Sunday, what follows?

Evaluation.

On Monday, the team absorbs the film of Sunday’s game . . . pause, rewind, question, pause, slow down, play . . .  evaluation and analysis without an ounce of sugar.

The football team’s PEE (preparation, execution, evaluation) ratio: (40:4:8)  . . . or more simply (10:1:2)

How do you enter your eight-hour workday?

Stumble into it blindly.  (I’m guilty)

Is it reasonable to assume that before entering the “arena,” you would have a strategy?  What about an assessment afterwards.

Using the football’s team PEE ratio (10:1:2), you would prepare for 80 hours, work for 8, and evaluate for 16.

That’s absurd.

What about (0:8:0)?

Which is more absurd?
